Ok, so I had to share this gift idea with all of you. See my dad is somewhat difficult to shop for, however he loves ice cream sundaes. Like loves them so much he will order them off of the kid's menu at restaurant for dessert if they don't have one on the adult menu. Anyways, this can also be changed into a family gift which I did for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law one year. It's super quick and simple to put together but also unique. Here is a list of items you'll need...
- Ice cream spoon(s)
- Variety of toppings - I usually do a chocolate sauce or caramel sauce, I really want to do one with homemade jars of sauce, but haven't yet. I also include, nuts, sprinkles, and maraschino cherries. It depends on bowl size or if I end up boxing it how many toppings I include.
- Packaging materieals - If you just want to give it in a bowl I use either tissue paper or paper shred to fill the bowl before adding items. If you want to box it get a nice gift box/hat box and fill it with paper shred and then you can arrange items how you see fit.
Here are some pictures of ones I've done...
Single person gift in a bowl.
Family Gift - on this one I did kid themed bowls and teaspoons for the 2 kids in the family and added extra sauces/toppings to fill out the box.
Hope you enjoy the idea!
